This Privacy Policy describes how TrustBadge (the "Extension"), developed by Ilias El Barhoumi, collects, uses, stores, and protects your information. This policy applies specifically to the TrustBadge browser extension and is separate from the ExtensionShop marketplace privacy policy.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. By installing and using TrustBadge, you agree to the data practices described in this policy.

TrustBadge collects the minimum data necessary to provide its functionality. Below is a complete breakdown of what data is and is not collected.

TrustBadge does not collect the following types of information:

• Tweet content or direct messages
• Personal user information beyond your X handle
• Browsing history or activity outside Twitter/X
• Tracking cookies or analytics
• Passwords, tokens, or authentication data

3. How We Use Your Information

Collected data is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• Providing and maintaining the core functionality of TrustBadge
• Saving your preferences and settings for a personalized experience
• Diagnosing and fixing bugs or technical issues

We do not use your data for advertising, user profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the functionality of TrustBadge.

4. Data Storage and Security

TrustBadge uses encryption to protect your data both in transit and at rest. All sensitive data is encrypted using industry-standard protocols before storage.

Data retention: Lookup counter resets every hour. Startup data cache expires after 24 hours. Your X handle and preferences persist until cleared or the extension is uninstalled. Pro license status is stored with HMAC-SHA256 integrity protection.

5. Third-Party Data Sharing

Twitter/X handles are sent to the TrustMRR API (trustmrr.com) to fetch public startup revenue data. License validation requests are sent to LemonSqueezy for Pro users. No personal data is shared with any other third party.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for their marketing or commercial purposes.

6. Browser Permissions

TrustBadge requests the following browser permissions. Each permission is required for specific functionality and is used only for its stated purpose:

No permissions are used to collect data beyond what is described in Section 2 of this policy. We follow the principle of least privilege and only request permissions essential for the extension's functionality.

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: You can view all data stored by the extension through your browser's extension storage inspector
• Deletion: You can delete all stored data by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension data in your browser settings
• Opt-out: Optional data collection (such as analytics) can be disabled in the extension settings
• Portability: You may export your data where the extension provides export functionality
• Complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated

TrustBadge is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
